Truffle Farm

10 years ago the truffle orchard was planted with a dream. We chose Oak Trees and Hazelnut trees already inoculated with Perigord truffle spores hoping to one day pull a cultivated truffle treasure out of the soil. Meanwhile, we forage with our amazing truffle dogs in the foothills on
the mainland of Washington State and enjoy finding Oregon Black and White truffles. These wild
foraged truffles provide us, our friends and guests of the BnB with delicious truffle salt!

To keep the orchards weed-free, 40 free-ranging chickens in two coops are always busy
maintaining the truffle orchards. These chickens not only provide an invaluable service to the
Farm but their antics are a constant source of humor and laughter as well as providing us with
the most delicious eggs!
